Text widget and widget styling

Turn your report into a presentation by styling widgets and adding text.

When adding text, you can choose font, size, color, formatting, background, border and everything that you usually want available when you're working with text. You can also create templates of text and save them for use. When creating text, all you have to do to create a template is check the 'Show in Existing gallery' option in the 'Styling' screen. The text template will be available in the 'Existing' section after that, for everyone to use.

You can also start creating a report from scratch, using an empty widget! Previously, you had to start with a widget from the Analytics library and customise it to your requirements but now, you can just start fresh with an empty widget. You can also add text to your reports, for effects and explanation.

Announcing a view/edit mode

Ever accidentally made a change or clicked on something on someone else’s report while you were just taking a look? Introducing view/edit mode to make sure that all moves and edits you make are purely intentional and not accidental.

Some time metrics were being problematic so we just booted up the ol’ time machine and squashed some bugs like how selecting time spent metric and hitting apply resulted in an exception or choosing previous time period threw null pointer exceptions. It was about time anyway.

New chart types: area, pie, heatmap, bubble, matrix!

New chart types in the house! Matrix tables are available as a chart type when you're operating on a single metric with two group bys. Just to refresh your memory, matrix tables are useful when you want to view the sum of a column or a row as a separate column/row.

It can get quite confusing when you can expect to use which chart so we made you a handy table:
